Default 99\' Baja Bug?

Is their anyone that has ever seen or thought about building a lift kit or some sort of suspension up grade for the new bugs. I was just wondering how long it would take for the new bugs to get beat up enough for someone to make/put a lift on one, I just think it would be one of the coolest things to see, A 99' Baja Bug. Just a thought...

I could be wrong, but aren't the new bugs front engine/front wheel drive? Wasn't one of the most desireable things about the old bugs the rear engine/rear drive? Wouldn't it take a lot of modifications, just to get the engine and transaxle in the more desireable location (the rear) of the bug?

<font color=blue>I saw this "DUNE" buggy at the LA autoshow. Very cool. Awesome interior. But man, would I hate to chop that top.
BTW, it was 4wd...! (it was concept, only...)
