Default 1700 motor questions
ok entering the baja 1000 next year come hell or high water (whatever that means)
picked up a bug that came with a 1700 motor cb block, half tore apart but seems to be all there.
actual question is can i put any jugs in this bad boy with normal (1600 block) machining? where can i get parts for the 1700, looking to build a reliable motor with what i currently own. picked up a weber carb and intake so should i change gears now or am i on the right path? Default Check the rules
Get the rule book first. Better enter in the stock Bug class. 1700cc never came out in bugs only 411. Take note that most run the 1967 Bug because the stock suspension and wheels are stronger. It's better to give up 100cc then break before the end. Rules First is Most Important. Have Fun and start saving your money as it cost 100 times more then you would think. Vic.
