727 TF tranny question

can i take a bigblock car 727, and put the short housing and output shaft from a small block 727, out of a 4x4, on to it so it will take a 205 t-case???

HODWY DUDE / you sure can / I,m gonna ramble now / you got all the jeep people putin chevys in there jeeps / but if the jeep has the chrysler auto tranny you can put a small block 360/318 or get this a 440 or a 426 HEMI in a lttle old JEEP and what gets me is you dont hafta buy a fancy adapter to put one in /just change the case and the output shaft/ I,m done ramblin now / good luck and MOPAR TO YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DEANO

reason i ask is i got an 86 short box all 1 ton and picked up an old 440cid and 727 out of a car and a mid mount 205 t case but the tail shaft and housing on the tranny is 5' long lol and i want a short one
