Default where is speed sensor located?

Working on a 93 Dodge Cummins Diesel 4WD. Speedo went wacky intermintantly. Then speedo and odom wouldn't work (mostly in rainy weather). Cruise control didn't work either, nor did overdrive. Now speedo/odom/cruise/OD don't work at all.

Gonna replace the speed sensor first, since we have that. Now for the dumb question... Where is it located? I've seen about 4 diferent different versions. Hoping I can get an answer from someone who has one...

If speed sensor doesn't fix everything, we'll try the instrument cluster next. Does this sound like the way to go? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mac

Default Speed sensor

Generally speaking the speed sensor will be located on the transmission. Look on the driver side toward the rear of the trans.

Thanks Partsman. Found it on the transfer case. Strange looking thing. Had what I'm told was a reducer attached to it. Also found that although the truck is a '93, the speed sensor is the one used on the '92. Chrysler saving money I guess.

Truck seems to bog down under even light loads, especially problematic around 40-60mph... Anyone have any ideas/advice? This motor ought to pull without breathing heavy, and it struggled.
