Default BEST WINCH???

Just wandering which winch is the most preferred and reliable??? I have a ramsey 6000lbs., I know its too small for a 6500lb. truck but it now doesn`t freespool and the remotes plug is a pain to get it to work unless I give it a few wiggles so I could finially reverse the spool to attempt to rescue either myself or friend...The manufactorer says the clutchs need to be cleaned of its corrosion. I don`t use it too often. I wish I had a bigger winch last week when I was trying to extracate a FORD that kept getting stuck since he broke his front drive shaft. The third stuck was the charm but not a good one thats when I finially got stuck and sunk my front tires down, it took a few hours to get it out via a shovel an other ford and a friends chevy with the added the extra pull of my little winch off of the fords bumper while they both pulled :-)>...I finially got the other ford out too, the end!!!

SUPER SWAMPER/ WARNS are good but MILE MARKERS are better and the old BRADENS / well they came on the older trucks P.T.O POWER TAKE OFF driven which makes them a unstopable WINCH but heavy and you can buy a MILE MARKER for what you would pay for a complete BRADEN / unless you pick one up cheap some where / my self I just bought a RAMSEY PRO PLUS 9000 from NATIONAL TIRE for $650 with roller fair lead and shipping / it's the first electric WINCH I have owned / used my 8000Lbs manual WINCH for years and allways got out that and a HIGH LIFT go anywhere / I'll still carry it though/ MOPAR TO YA!!!!!

For a 12 volt winch the ramsey 12000lb worm gear is tops. they are virtually bullet proof. from expererence. later, DIRTFARMER
