I don't think the moderator for this board has the kahuna's to explain his actions, seems pretty spineless to me. Just bans without expaining, because he can. Anybody know who "he" is? Get on the admins about banning him from being a moderator. Somebody who can't explain their actions certainly shouldn't be a moderator.

well so far, the moderator has not responded. i sent a copy of the message to the administartor as well. He did reply- in fact he replied very quickly - and stated that he is not the moderator but he will investigate and get back to me.
I'll keep you all posted.

I finally got a reply from the site administrator( the board moderator never di bother to respond) and he said that he doesnt see where Dodgeboys was banned. Furthermore, he says, dodgeboys should try and log on because it doesnt look like he is banned.....
Someone pass ths on to dodgeboys, I'd like to see if he is banned or not...

I guess Deano tried to log on after I posted this but his password didnt work. I told the Site administrator that dodgeboys couldnt get on and he replied for dodgeboys to email him and he'll get him a new password. The board moderator has still not replied to my emails yet.

"anyway, this has never 'really' been that good of a board for tech info"
you get back what you put in. I've seen any number of posts here on the dodge board just go unanswered, or answered with nothing more than an opinion that says 'gee dont think that'll work cause I've never seen it before'...not exactly a community atmosphere. Take a look at the Zuk board - small rigs, good wheelers...but those guys actually give away a lot parts, and help each other out OFF the board: THATS a community spirit.
I've asked about whats required for user counts, etc, to get a new forum ( my rigs not even listed under other, although world wide there's been more of them made than any single production run of any other 4x4.- 1978, to 1998, same body end everything) According to the zuk board mod, if its low traffic, its listed under 'other'.... get guys here, get the traffic going, and hey, you'll get some voting power.
no idea why you're not at least listed with the Jeep guys though ?!

wanderer4x4,I agree with you completely. You get out what you put in.I am new to this board as I bought a M883 to tow my Zuk.I have hosted two Fab Fest events[2001 and 2002] for the Zuk folks as they are active and answer questions and give away parts when your in a bind. Some have driven for 15 plus hours to attend, they trail ride all the time and invite everyone they know. You could do the same.I have traveled 12 plus hours to ride with the guys off the zuk board.I have seen guys pull their t-cases,diffs,axles and loan to folks so they can ride the rest of the weekend.A lot of work ,yep ,but the Zuk folks take care of each other. They are very close.I have not seen any other boards act like that.I trust you will all do well with your projects, but I would like to read more of what your doing and where you are trail riding. This Dodge is new to me,So the ideas for my mods will come from you. Thanks to those that have helped me over the past few weeks in reference to my Dodge,RR

just seems to at least make some sort of sense to put you together when a lot of the tech stuff crosses over - as the jeep guys point out, same motors, same t-cases, same dealers in most places ( wouldnt it be nice to know if there s crackhead dealer to avoid?)LOTS of parts crossover. and besides - at least I didnt suggest combining Jeep, Dodge, AND the Mercedes forums 8^D where are you guys gonna be in 2 years when the Ram trucks are reportedly moving to the same daimler diesels that are found in Unimogs?
its the 'us-and-them' attitude that kills it. My rigs got parts from darn near every forum on the board...but I spend most of my time on the zuk forum, 'cause of their attitude.

I personally think that if we want to get out from being listed as "other" we might have to combine with the jeep boards. instead of being listed under "dodge" or "jeep", we could list under someting like "mopar vehicles" or "diamler-chrysler vehicles" which would list all the mopar/daimler-chrysler products. I don't think that this baord has enough traffic to make it worthwhile for the moderater to create a dodge categorey.
