Default diesel injector pump

I'm looking at a 99 dodge diesel, have there been any problems with injector pumps on that year pickup? any other comments on that model?

With the post 98.5 Dodge Diesel's (24 Valve Cummins) I've heard that its really important to have a fuel pressure guage. Take that for what its worth.

If it were me I would buy a pre 98.5 (12 Valve Cummins) with the lowest possible miles you could find. You can do more to a 12 Valve (performance wise) than a 24 Valve, and still pull down better mileage loaded and unloaded than a 24 Valve.

only 300,000 miles? I'm almost 1/2 way to that with 138,000, but mine had 123,000 when I bought it back in August.

Its not unusual for a Cummins to go 500,000 or more miles before a rebuild. Just depends on maintenance!
