Default Josh Morros Injury

Update on Josh Morros’ Condition
Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green rider Josh Morros is in stable condition after a high speed crash on Saturday, August 16 during the AMA National Hare and Hound race in Wendover, Nev.

Along with minor injuries, Morros suffered severe head trauma which has caused doctors to keep him in a medically-induced coma until the swelling subsides. Doctors’ reports from Wednesday were promising as they feel that Morros has passed over the “hump” with his swelling. He will be taken off sedation slowly and has already started to heal from his other injuries.

“Josh is a fighter and the doctors continue to be amazed with his improvement,” said Kawasaki Off-Road Supervisor Jason Smigel. “His strength and determination that we’ve all seen on the track is ever present during his recovery process. The family wants to thank all the friends and extended motorcycle family for their best wishes and prayers. They are extremely grateful for all the love and support that has been shown over the past week.”

Morros was scheduled to race on the USA Junior Trophy Team at the International Six-Day Enduro in Greece. Although he is not able to attend, the Morros family would like to wish all his friends and teammates competing on behalf of the United State good luck.

If you wish to send Morros a message that will be read to him in the hospital, go to https://intermountainhealthcare.org/...ilpatientimed/

For frequent updates on his condition, visit www.joshmorros.com. Teresa Morros, Josh’s mom, will be providing updates as often as possible. To send your thoughts and prayers, email joshmorros351@hotmail.com.

From Jason Reed, WORCS Racing:

I spoke to Destry this morning. He was just getting home from Greece and said he just got off the phone with Terresa Morros (Josh's Mom) and this is the following.

"Josh is doing good. He is completely out of the coma and responding to certain commands. He is awake and seems to be trying to speak and communicate within his capabilities. This is a huge step for Josh and we all know that there is a long road ahead, we know he will get there. Please continue the prayers for Josh and his family." Destry Abbott
