 Pro Desert Rocky Point Race, May 5th
Anyone else going? We'll be racing our Trophy Truck in this race and I'm pretty stoked. Hope to see some of you there.

Saturday, May 5, will be the running of the Desert Rat/UPRacing “La Vuelta de Puerto Penasco” desert off road race by PRO Desert Racing. This race will be held at the beautiful Desert Oasis Resort in Rocky Point Mexico. The course will be a loop race of about 50 miles will run from the Desert Oasis to the old Caborca train station then out to the Esperanza Orphanage near the Well Road and then back to the Desert Oasis. Pro racers will run four laps, sportsmen and certain limited classes will run three laps and the rhinos will run two.
Schedule:
Thursday, May 3 – Course will open for prerunning.
Friday, May 4 – Registration, technical inspection and contingency. Activities will begin at 1:00 pm. Registration will take place on the patio of the Watering Hole Cantina at the Desert Oasis. Vendors from Puerto Penasco, Caborca and the US will be on hand. At 7:30 pm we will conclude these activites with a mandatory meeting for all race competitors.
Saturday, May 5 – Late registration and technical inspection will begin at 6:30. Staging will begin at 7:45 and the race will begin at 8:00 am sharp! Depending on the amount of entries we may run two races with most pro’s running in the morning and sportsmen, rhino’s, 5-1600’s, 9’s, 11’s, stock trucks running after lunch. A final decision will be announced at the drivers’ meeting.
Sunday, May 6 – Awards will be presented on the patio of the Watering Hole Cantina at noon. |
