I agree with Jeff. They have a nice board over there.

Rather than moving over to a new style of board, I'd prefer if you go to ColoradoK5 and check their software out and/or talk to them about how that version works. I would definitely prefer to stay with this style BBS software. Very intuitive, everything well marked, can customize view options easily, etc, etc...

Would likely be a hassle to switch over to totally different software anyhow, plus change over to the newer version (the one CK5 has) would likely be considerably easier from the standpoint of carrying everybody's names, etc over to it as well.

Just my $0.05 on the matter...

I use vBulletin for a site of mine and I really like it. It's quick and it's easy. What bogs this board down so bad??

I agree! I really like what they have over at ColoradoK5! I'd still clean it up a little... some of the posts get a little busy looking with all the icons everywhere... but its still got the comfortable feel that most people here seem to really like.

I like the software but know that it does not have the capacity that we need.

So basically the newer versions of wwwThreads just aren't beefy enough? That's too bad, I really like the clean, simple looks. How much latitude do you have for manipulating the interface of the software that you are looking at? Can you keep it clean and somewhat familiar, without letting it get too busy looking like some boards do?

pjc, what is the problem with capacity (I don't intend this to sound argumentitive, so sorry if it does)? ColoradoK5 has more members than this board has, and it seems to work fine, or is this not the capacity you are referring to?

Found this thread while going through old stuff, thought it would be nice to revisit it since we finally got the upgrade! Took awhile but way to go!
